Let the Stampede begin !!!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little western Cricut town from my last post.  Now I'm going to show you the cute little treat bags that I plan to give away at the Stampede.  I made 150 of these little suckers!!!!

The bag itself is from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge.  I distressed it a little with Tim Holtz - Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I tried to make it look like a WANTED poster by printing it out on vellum and doing a little penwork around the outside.  The Cricut bug head is from the Potpourri Basket Cricut cartridge - I did a little faux stitching around him to make him pop.   And the cute cowboy hat that I put on him is from the Old West Cricut cartridge, with a little bit of brown Stickles for the band.  Of course I don't think he would ever be as cute if he didn't have the googlie eyes...so I had to do those.  I tied a little bow with some jute.  And inside the bag I stuffed a cowboy handkerchief napkin from the Party City store.

On the back of the bag, I added the Texas state cut from the 50 States Cricut cartridge (I hope I put the little star in the right place for Frisco/Dallas - hee hee).  And then I printed out the date so that it could be a nice little keepsake.

Inside of course are some yummy little candy treats - but because it's starting to get hot already in Phoenix - it's not the traditional chocolate, I had to go with some alternates so that they wouldn't melt.  Hopefully they will be just as yummy.

Well, that's it for now...I'll see you back here next week...hopefully with some funny photos to share.  Have a great weekend y'all.
