My Creative Time ~ "Head of the Class" BLOG HOP

Hello everyone!  And welcome to the My Creative Time ~ "Head of the Class" BLOG HOP!!!  You should have arrived here from Liz's blog.  If not, then make sure you head back to My Creative Time so that you can start at the beginning with Emma.  You definitely don't want to miss a thing!

For our projects today, we are all showcasing four new sets:  Love To Learn, Number Fun Dies + Add Ons, Uppercase Fun Dies & Write On.  And of course I couldn't just make one project so I made two - one with a back to school theme and the other completely different so that you can see how to use these new sets for something other than back to school.   ;)

This first card is a standard A2 size card.  All of the different colors of cardstock are from Papertrey Ink.  I used the MCT ~ Stitched 4x6 Journal Die to cut the yellow background piece (making it shorter of course to fit the card).  I used the "Teacher" stamp from the brand new MCT ~ Write On to heat emboss the background using Versamark ~ Watermark Ink and Clear ~ Stampendous Embossing Powder.

I cut the label and background using the MCT ~ Curly Label Die & MCT ~ Stitched Curly Label Die.  The "Happy first day of school!" sentiment is also from the MCT ~ Write On.  I cut the "A" using my Cameo and a file from the Silhouette Online Store.  The little "+" is from the MCT ~ Number Fun Dies + Add Ons.  And the super cute little pencil and apple are from the brand new MCT ~ Love To Learn.  Are they just the cutest?!? Then I just added a little bow with some hemp twine.

This second card is also a standard A2 size card.  I kept this one simple, but did something different so you could see how to use these sets in a different way.  All of the different colors of cardstock are from Papertrey Ink.  Once again I used the MCT ~ Stitched 4x6 Journal Die for the background.  The word "Hello" is a fun new die in the MCT ~ Love To Learn.  Now, for the something different...I used the little triangle part of the pencil die to create a fun little geometric border.  How cool, but simple is that?!?  Love it!

Well I hope you liked both of my cards for today.   :)
