My Creative Time ~ "Scrapping the Little Things"

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time.  This is the day when we make Smash Book, Project Life, or any other kind of scrapbook layouts to hopefully inspire you to get some scrapping done.  :)

I'm back with another layout in my ABC Book.  I'm using the 6x8 Simple Stories ~ SN@P Binder.  And today I'm doing the letter "Ee".

The colorful papers that I am using today are all from the Simple Stories ~ Urban Traveler collection, except for some white, pink and gray cardstock on the elephant - those are from my scraps.  The "Ee" and the elephant are from PPbN Designs and I cut them with my Cameo.

Here are some closer shots of both pages:

Ok, let's take a look at the details:

Once again, the "Ee" and the cutie patootie elephant are from PPbN Designs.  I stamped the "is for" with the alphabet stamps in the MCT ~ Just Simply Live.  I cut the word "elephant" with the MCT ~ Lowercase Fun Dies.  And then I added a little bit of yellow ~ ric rac from my stash.

This is the awesome MCT ~ 3x3 Fancy Envelope Die.  I added a couple of fun brads from my stash and tied it shut with some twine.  The arrow is from the MCT ~ Stitched Capture Frame with Arrow Dies. And the label is from the MCT ~ Just Simply Live.  I also stamped the word "envelope" with the alphabet stamps in the MCT ~ Just Simply Live.

I cut all of the colorful Easter Eggs with both egg dies in the MCT ~ Hello Spring.  The "Easter Eggs" is from the MCT ~ Color Me Happy.  (**I actually cut my stamps...eek...too get the words the way I wanted them). The BINGO card is from the paper collection.  I stamped the word "east" with the alphabet stamps in the MCT ~ Just Simply Live.  And the arrow is from the MCT ~ Stitched Capture Frame with Arrow Dies.

I cut the elf with my Cameo and a file from the Silhouette Online Store. The cute little face is from the PKS ~ In The Garden Face Assortment.  I added some gems from my stash to the elf hat.  And I used the Marvy Uchida ~ Liquid Applique to make the fun puffy part.  The little arrows are from the MCT ~ Stitched Mini Frame & Arrow Dies.  I stamped the words "eye", "elf" and "ear" with the alphabet stamps in the MCT ~ Just Simply Live.

I hope you are still enjoying my ABC Book.  I'm just loving the process so far!!!  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I will see you all again tomorrow. Have a great day!!!

This is a fun 5.5 x 5.5 card.  The dark gray and the white cardstock are from Paper Trey Ink.  The yellow and both shades of turquoise/blue papers are from the Fancy Pants ~ Park Bench collection

This super cute sun and fun sentiment are from the PKS ~ You Are My Sunshine.  I added some Yellow ~ Stickles to the sun for sparkle.  The flag for the sentiment is cut with the MCT ~ Vintage Stitched Label Dies. The clouds are cut with the MCT ~ Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies.  If you look closely, you can see that I chalked up the clouds a bit for a whispy look.

I cut this little sailboat with my Cameo and a file from the Silhouette Online Store.  I tried something totally new for me by making a sail out of twine!  Isn't it cool?  I used the Timeless Twine ~ Cape Cod Twine.  I just love how it turned out!!!  If you look closely, you can see that I added a hint of Star Dust ~ Stickles to the waves as well for some more sparkle.

Card #2 is another 5.5 x 5.5 card.  The solid color cardstock is from Paper Trey Ink.  The pretty patterned papers are from the SEI ~ Vanilla Sunshine collection.  I cut the pretty scalloped circle with a Spellbinders ~ Nestabilities Die.

This sweet little fairy is from the PKS ~ Mini Fairies & Girl Gnomes.  I colored her in with Copic ~ Sketch Markers. And I added a little Star Dust ~ Stickles to her wings for the special fairy sparkle.  I used the pretty Timeless Twine ~ Key Lime Sorbet Twine around the circle and to tie the bow.  In the center, I added a little flower gem and pearl from my stash.  The sentiment is also from PKS ~ Mini Fairies & Girl Gnomes.  For the label, I used the MCT ~ Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  I put the whole center piece on pop dots for dimension.

Not done yet!!!  Here is another fun 5.5 x 5.5 card.  The black cardstock is from Paper Trey Ink.  The patterned papers are from the Creative Imaginations ~ Simply Sentiments collection.

This cutie patootie cow is from the PKS ~ May 2013 : Kit of the Month.  I colored her in with Copic ~ Sketch Markers.  The fence is cut with a Martha Stewart ~ Border Punch.  I used the Timeless Twine ~ Black Kraft Twine to wrap around the fence and to tie the bow.  In the center is a little flower gem and pearl from my stash.

The milk bottle and "Got Cookies?" sentiment are also from the PKS ~ March 2013 : Kit of the Month.  I cut the label with the MCT ~ Just Simply Live.  At the bottom, I used the Timeless Twine ~ Black Kraft Twine to make what I hope look like cookies.  My husband teased me that they looked like cow patties...LOL!!!

Well that's it for me today.  I hope you enjoyed my cards...they were so fun to make!  Head on over to Peachy Keen Stamps & Timeless Twine to check out more of their cool products.  Have a great day everyone!  I will see you all again soon.

My Creative Time ~ "Inspire Me Tuesday"

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Inspire Me Tueday" with My Creative Time.  For those of you who are new to this, it's when we make a project from some kind of inspiration.  It could be a color combo, tv show, a view from your window, something in a magazine, anything at all.

I made this card for an online blogging buddy.  Let's see if you can guess the inspiration:

That's right...my inspiration was the movie "What About Bob?"  Many of you know that I'm a psychotherapist. And "Baby Steps" is one of my favorite phrases at work.  :)  The card base is made with Paper Trey Ink ~ Kraft Cardstock.

The "just a little note" sentiment is from the MCT ~ Just A Little Note To Say.  I stamped the "from" with the alphabet stamps in the MCT ~ Just Simply Live.  And the "gil" is cut with the MCT ~ Lowercase Fun Dies.

I cut the little jar with the MCT ~ Stitched Chunky Jar Dies.  I cut it twice - once with acetate and the other with a piece that I colored with Copic ~ Sketch Markers to look like water.  I cut the cute little goldfish with my Cameo and a file from the Silhouette Online Store.  The face is from the PKS ~ June 2013 : Kit of the Month. The word bubble is cut with the MCT ~ Stitched Round Speech Bubbles.  And the "BABY STEPS" is stamped with the alphabet stamps in the MCT ~ Just Simply Live.  I put everything on pop dots for dimension.  And I added a bow with The Twinery ~ Marigold Twine.  In the center, I added a little flower gem and a tiny pearl from my stash.

That's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I will see you all again soon.  Have a great day everyone!

Hello everyone! It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-38 : 3D Objects - Potluck.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create the 3D project of your choice using the theme "potluck".  Ever gone to a potluck and had no clue what a dish might be?  Here's your chance to make an item to give a heads up of what your dish is.  It could be toppers, placecards, a banner, or anything else that sparks your creativity!  Or maybe you have an awesome way to display your dish, that would work too.  Use your amazing creativity to make a run with this challenge.

With the start of football season, we tend to BBQ a lot.  And one of our favorites is corn on the cob.  So I made this fun little holder for those corn on the cob thingies.  Isn't it cute?

The pretty bow is made from ribbon I had in my stash...perfect match don't ya think?!  Well that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I hope you have time to enter this super fun challenge...I can't wait to see what you all make!! My Creative Time ~ "3D Wednesday"

Hello everyone!  Sorry I've been a little MIA...things have been really busy lately.  Hopefully things will be back to normal next week.  Well today, it's time for another "3D Wednesday" with My Creative Time.  And I have my last wedding treat to show you:

These are the little chocolate treats that I made for my BFF's wedding.  They turned out perfect!!!  I used the MCT ~ Treat Slider Box Die.  I just love how you can use it for some fancy or even something simple!  The pretty cardstock is from the SEI ~ White Elegance Collection.  The purple cardstock is from Bazzill.  For the tag, I used the MCT ~ Teeny Tag Greetings.  I tied each box with some pretty white ~ Tulle and purple Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations ribbon.  In the center is a pretty gem from Jolee's Boutique.

Did I mention that I made 70 of them?!  That means 280 little chocolates!!  They are soooo easy to make, but it definitely took some time.  I spread it out over a couple of weekends so that I didn't go bonkers...LOL.   ;)

And here is what it looked like with the place setting.  The whole day couldn't have been any more perfect!!!  :)

Well that's it for me.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I will see you all again soon.
