Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-22

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-22 : Sketch Challenge.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a card or layout based on the sketch provided.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card (reversed):

I'm on a roll with my critters this week!  Hee...I think she is just as cute as my skunk from yesterday!!  This little darling and both sentiments are from the PKS ~ Misty Sue & Colby Cheer Up set.

The white scalloped circle is cut with a Spellbinders ~ Nestabilities Die.  I colored in my little cutie with Copic ~ Sketch Markers.  And I added some Recollections ~ pearls to the centers of the flowers.  I put the whole piece on pop dots for dimension.

The cool burlap ribbon is from my stash.  The little dots are actually brads, but I snipped off the pokey feet part because I hate poking them through the cardstock...lol.  Aren't those sentiments so fun?!   ;)  All of the patterned papers are from The Best of My Mind's Eye ~ Volume 1.

Well that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  And I hope you have time to join us in the fun!  I can't wait to see what you all make!!!!  Have a great day everyone!  I will see you all again soon.

My Creative Time ~ "Thoughtful Thursday"

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Thoughtful Thursday" with My Creative Time.  For those of you who may be new to this, it's when we make something for someone else.  It could be Get Well, Congratulations, Cheer Up, Thinking of You, etc.  Isn't that such a great idea?!  I just love it!

Well, today I have two little projects for you:

This first project is a Wedding Congratulations card for an online friend of mine.  I've never actually met her in person as she lives in another country ~ but I think that's the amazing thing about this hobby and having a blog ~ you meet the neatest people from all over the world!!

These might not be the most traditional wedding card colors, but if I remember right, I'm thinking she  mentioned that her wedding colors were yellow & green...I'm sooooo hoping I remembered right...lol.  The black cardstock is from Recollections.  And all of the other pretty patterned papers are from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Lemon Flower collection.

These are all some of my most favorite MCT dies!!!  The black piece is cut with the MCT ~ Stitched Doily Die. The heart is cut with the MCT ~ Stitched Scallop Heart Die.  The "Mr. & Mrs." is from the MCT ~ Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.  The cute little couple and heart are from the MCT ~ We Are Family stamp set.  The label is cut with the smaller label die in the MCT ~ Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  And the "Congratulations" is from the MCT ~ Gift Card Sentiments stamp set.  The bow is tied with Celebrate It ~ 360 ribbon.  In the center is a button from my stash and another little bow tied with Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ Hemp Twine.

My next project is a little Gift Card for an 8th Grade Graduation:

The kraft cardstock is from Paper Trey Ink (my new FAVORITE kraft cardstock by the way!!).  It's cut with the all time best invention ever (besides caller id) the MCT ~ Gift Card Holder Die.  The cute little owl and branch are from the MCT ~ Birthday Buddies stamp set.  All of the sentiments are from the MCT ~ Follow Your Dreams stamp set.

Here is a look at the inside.  The little diploma and sentiment are also from the MCT ~ Follow Your Dreams stamp set.  PERFECT stamp set for this time of year!!

Well my creative friends, that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I hope this inspires you to make something for someone else today. Have a great day everyone!  I will see you all again tomorrow.

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Cheer Up

Hello everyone!  It's my turn to post over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.  You may remember a couple of weeks ago, when Peachy Keen Stamps teamed up with SVG Cutting Files for a super fun Blog Hop.  Well, Jaime - one of the DT Members for SVG Cutting Files had a super cute Tissue Holder cut file as a freebie on her blog, so I thought I would give it a try.

Isn't it cute?  I'm so proud of myself!!  I'm telling ya . . . I just LOVE using my Cameo to cut SVG files!!  So much fun!!!  Ok, all of the stamped images (including the skunk and both sentiments) are from the PKS ~ Skunk Cheer Up Set.  The patterned papers are from The Best of My Mind's Eye ~ Volume I collection.  The solid black, white and light green cardstock are from Recollections.

Hee Hee!  She is so cute!!  I colored her with Copic ~ Sketch Markers.  How am I doing???  I think she looks pretty furry . . . what do you think?  I added a little bow with The Twinery ~ Blossom Twine.

Here is a side view so you can see the little tissue pack.  The little fence is cut with a Martha Stewart ~ Border Punch.  All of the little flowers are from my stash.

***Technique Time ~ I thought I would show you a little something different today.  For those of you who may be new to stamping . . . you might need to sit down for this one . . . it can be a little shocking.

You can see in this stamp set, that the two sentiments I used for my project are in a horizontal, rectangular shape.  For the bottom sentiment, that worked just perfectly.  But for the one above that, it just wasn't going to work for where I wanted to put it.  So what did I do . . . wait for it . . . wait for it . . . I CUT MY STAMPS!!!!  Eeeek!!!  I know - I know!  Totally freaked me out the first time I heard about it.  But Miss Emma & Miss Nikki do it all the time, so I thought I would give it a try.

Now, I wouldn't do it on just any stamp.  It needs to have good lines/space - so that you can get a good, clean cut.  All you have to do is use a good pair of scissors and BE CAREFUL!!  Before you know it, voila . . . a custom look for any project!

See!  Just the way I wanted it!  For those of you who are looking closely, you might notice that it still looks a little different.  Here is what I did:  First, I stamped the "CHEER UP ... Some things that" (the first half of the cut stamp).  Second, I took the other half of the cut stamp and taped off "...JUST STINK!".  Then I inked up "happen in life" and stamped that.  Finally, I taped off "happen in life" and inked up "...JUST STINK!" and stamped that.  Now it looks exactly the way I wanted it too and it fits my project perfectly.  Now, don't worry. If you ever want to use your stamp in the original shape, you can just fit them back together like puzzles pieces on your stamping block and stamp it just like normal. Imagine the possibilities!!!  Don't be afraid...YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Well my creative friends, that's it for me today.  I hope you liked my cute little project.  Thanks for stopping by. I will see you all again soon.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

For those of you who served and those of you who continue to serve in any branch of our Armed Forces . . . THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!  To the family members and loved ones of those who serve . . . THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS SUPPORTING THEM AND GIVING THEM STRENGTH.  And for those we have lost so that we may have our Freedom . . . THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICE.  WE REMEMBER YOU TODAY & ALWAYS.

The white and the black cardstock are from Recollections.  The scalloped square is cut with a Spellbinders ~ Nestabilities Die.  The patriotic heart stamp is the Free Giveaway from Peachy Keen Stamps this Memorial Day weekend.  I colored in the heart with Copic ~ Sketch Markers.  The pretty bow is made with Sheer Creations ~ Ribbon.  The label is cut with one of the label dies in the MCT ~ Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  And the "God Bless the USA!" sentiment is also in the Free Giveaway from Peachy Keen Stamps this weekend.

Have a safe holiday everyone!  I will see you all again soon.

My Creative Time ~ "Scrapping the Little Things"

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time.  For those of you who may be new to this, it's when we make Project Life, Smash Book or any other type of scrapbook layout.

Today, I made an 8x8 layout.  I made it for my husband's niece for their first family photo since their new baby. I matched it to the colors in their house.  And once I get a neat frame, I think it will match perfectly!!  :)

The solid brown cardstock for the bottom layer is from Recollections.  The polka dot piece for the next layer up is from the Simple Stories ~ Urban Traveler collection.  The solid light tan cardstock for the next layer up is from Recollections.  And then all of the other patterned papers are from the Creative Imaginations ~ Orchard Harvest collection.

The "family" is cut with the MCT ~ Lowercase Fun Dies.  These are the perfect size for titles on your layouts...LOVE THEM!!!  The pretty hearts are cut with the smallest heart die in the MCT ~ Stitched Layering Heart Dies.  And I adhered them with pop dots for a bit of dimension.

This beautiful bow is made with the smallest size of Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ Hemp Twine.  I love the smaller size because it makes the perfect bows!!  In the center is a beautiful Doodlebug Design ~ Jewel.

The pretty frame is cut with the frame die in the MCT ~ Just Simply Live stamp/die set.  The fun little family and the sentiment are from the MCT ~ We Are Family stamp set.   The ink is Coffee ~ Ranger Archival Ink. And the ink for the little heart is Monarch Orange ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  The pretty flower in the bottom right corner is cut with the MCT ~ Flower Petal Dies.  I only used two of the three flowers. And then in the center, I added another Doodlebug Design ~ Jewel.  **Just a little tip ~ when I adhered the frame, I left the upper left corner without adhesive so that they will be able to easily slip their family photo underneath.

Well my creative friends, that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I'm just loving how this layout turned out.  It's kind of inspiring me to get back to some of my scrapbook layouts....hmmmmmm.  ;)  Have a great day!  I will see you all again soon.

Peachy Keen Stamps & SVG Cutting Files ~ BLOG HOP

Hello everyone!  Are you ready for some fun today?  It's Day 2 of the super fun Blog Hop for Peachy Keen Stamps & SVG Cutting Files!  If you missed Day 1, you can go back to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog so you don't miss a thing.  Now you should have arrived here from Jamie's blog, if not then make sure you start back at SVG Cutting Files so that you can start at the beginning.

SVG Cutting Files has some super cute files that match just perfectly with Peachy Keen Stamps!  I still consider myself pretty new with my Cameo, but here is my fun little 3D piggy:

Isn't she cute?  Hee!  The SVG Cutting File for this little cutie is called the Pig Candy Tube Holder.  The pink patterned paper is from the Snap ~ Color Vibe collection.  The solid pink paper is from Recollections.  I cut the base out twice - once with chip board for some extra reinforcement and a second time with the patterned paper.

This super cute face is from the PKS ~ The Moodies - 4" parts.  I colored in the eyes with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen and also added some fun eye shadow with a blue ~ Zig Writer pen.  I adhered the whole head, along with the nose and some cheeks with pop dots for dimension.  The cheeks aren't actually a part of the cutting file...shhhh...I added them to cover up a boo boo from dropping the blue pen right on my project!!! eek!!

I added a cute bow with ribbon from my stash.  And for the super cute little piggy tail, I used a pink pipe cleaner.  Inside the candy tube are some giant pink gumballs...which somehow vanished after the photo was taken...lol.

Well my creative friends, that's it for me today.  Your next stop in the hop is Abby, but in case you get lost along the way - here is the entire Blog Hop lineup:

Cassandra (that's me!)

Now what Blog Hop would be complete without some prizes???  There will be two - $35 Gift Certificates given away for each day...one from Peachy Keen Stamps & one from SVG Cutting Files.  We have no idea which blog the winner will come from - so make sure you leave a comment on each stop in the hop.  HAPPY HOPPING everyone!  I will see you all again soon.

My Creative Time ~ "3D Wednesday"

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "3D Wednesday" with My Creative Time.  For those of you who may be new to this, it's when we make anything but a card or layout.

Today, I have another fun tag for you.  To be honest, I never really liked making tags before.  That is until Emma made her AWESOME Tag Dies!!!!  Wahooo!!!  Now I think I might be getting obsessed with them.  LOL

Isn't it so fun?  I just love it!  All of the fun patterned papers for this are from the Creative Imaginations ~ Birthday Bliss collection.   To cut the tag, I used the MCT ~ Tag Dies.  For the tag base, I strategically placed the Tag Die on the paper so that it would cut with the presents on it.  Cool huh?

For the label, I used the MCT ~ Curly Label Die.  The sentiment is from the MCT ~ Wow! So Many Candles stamp set.  The ink is Coffee ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  I adhered it with pop dots to give it dimension.   To cut the balloons, I used one of the ornament dies in the MCT ~ Warm Holiday Fun stamp/die set.  I adhered them with different sizes of pop dots to vary the dimension.

For the strings, I did a fun technique that I learned from one of my DTmates - but I totally can't remember which one...lol.  The curly strings are made with The Twinery ~ PeaPod twine.  I soaked them in a solution that is a combination of liquid glue and water.  Then I took the twine and wrapped it around a long craft stick that I have.  Let it dry and then slip it off.  Cool huh?  To vary the size of the curls...use a smaller or bigger stick.  :)

At the top of the tag, the ribbon is from my stash and the bow is made with Liz's Paper Loft Boutique ~ Hemp Twine.  Well, that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I will see you all again tomorrow.  Have a great day!

My Creative Time ~ "Birthday Bash - BLOG HOP"

Hello everyone!  Surprise!  Surprise!  Today is Emma's birthday, so we are having a "Birthday Bash - Blog Hop"!  You should have arrived here from the super talented Amy's blog.  If not, then make sure you head back to My Creative Time, so that you can start at the beginning...you don't want to miss a thing!

Here is the birthday card that I made for Emma:

Last month when I went to the Vendor Fair at the CK Convention in Mesa, I found these super fun new embellishments.  Straws!  They came in several different colors and patterns...so of course you know I had to get the rainbow!!!  ;)  I purchased mine from a company called Cre8tive Artz.  They are actually the size of regular drinking straws, but made of a heavier material.  To give you an idea of size, the straws on my card are actually cut almost in half from the original size.  Aren't they so much fun???

For the flames, I had some candle stickers from Jolee's Boutique and I actually cut the flames off to use them here.  The fun gingham bow is made with Celebrate It ~ 360 ribbon.  At the bottom, you can see that I also added some red ric rac from my stash.

The "Happy Birthday" & "Make a wish..." sentiments are from the MCT ~ Polka Dot Surprise stamp set. The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  And for an extra touch, I added yellow and red Recollections ~ Pearls. The patterned paper in the background is from the Simple Stories ~ Snap, Just the Basics collection.  And the yellow and black cardstock are from Recollections.

I just love how this turned out!  I hope Emma likes it too!
