My Creative Time ~ "Thoughtful Thursday"

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Thoughtful Thursday" with My Creative Time.  This is when we make something for someone else.  It could be Get Well, Congratulations, Encouragement, Cheer Up, Thinking of You, etc.  I just love this idea!  We always need to have those kinds of cards or gifts on hand, so this gives us the chance to stock up.  :)

Today, I made a card for a friend.  When was the last time you told a friend how much you care about them? It's so easy to forget when we all get so busy.  So I decided to start working on some cards like this to have on hand.  I hope it inspires you to do the same.

The blue card base is made with Recollections cardstock.  All of the other papers are from the My Mind's Eye ~ Notable collection which I got from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

These beautiful flowers are cut with the MCT ~ Flower Petal Dies.  I just love them..they are just so pretty!  I curled the petals and also used pop dots to adhere them for some dimension.  In the center of each flower is a Doodlebug Design ~ Jewel.  The stems are just straight cuts on my paper trimmer.  And the leaves are cut with a mustache die in the MCT ~ What's Growing On? stamp/die set.

This sweet sentiment is from the MCT ~ Floral Sentiments stamp set.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.

That's it...super simple, but sweet and thoughtful I think.  I hope I have inspired you to make a card for a friend today.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I will see you all again soon.  Have a great day!

Peachy Keen Stamps & Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone!  In case you haven't heard yet, this week Peachy Keen Stamps & Really Reasonable Ribbon are teaming up to create some really GREAT projects.  Now what crafter doesn't LOVE ribbon?!?!?! I know I do, so here are two fun little projects I made:

Hee!  I just LOVE it!!  This is going in my craft room for sure!  I don't know about you, but I'm one of those crafters that has to get EVERY color when I buy stuff...LOL!  So of course I just had to get ALL these rainbow colors of ribbon!

I cut two center circles with a circle punch, one for the front and one for the back. The patterned paper for the circles is from the My Minds Eye ~ Remarkable collection that I got from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. All of the super fun ribbon is Grosgrain Ribbon from the RRR ~ Bright Stripes Assortment Pack. LOVE IT!!  I simply glued the loops of ribbon in between the two circle pieces.  The sweet little face is from the PKS ~ Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment.  (I think it's my favorite Peachy face of all time!!)  I added some chalk for cheeks, used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for accents and Copic ~ Sketch Markers for the mouth.  And for some super pretty bling, I added Doodlebug Design ~ Jewels in rainbow colors around the circle and the base of each ribbon petal.

I wrapped some green ribbon around a craft stick to make a stem and then tied some ribbon in a knot around the stem for some leaves.  I made the little label with the MCT ~ Curly Label Die & Stitched Curly Label Die.  The sentiment is from the PKS ~ August 2012 : Kit of the Month.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  Cute!  That would make anyone smile!!  :)

My second project is a rainbow Happy Birthday card.  :)  All of the solid colors of cardstock are from Recollections.  And the blue polka dot paper in the background is from the Recollections ~ Blue Christmas collection.  The fun flowers are cut with the MCT ~ Flower Petal Dies.  The flower centers are cut with the small stitched circle die in the MCT ~ Build A Banner Kit.  And all of the flower stems are made with awesome RRR ~ Sheer - 3 Striped ribbon. Fun Fun Fun!!!

The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the PKS ~ With A Cherry On Top stamp set.  And the "Stamp on a grin and soak it all in!" sentiment is from the PKS ~ June 2012 : Kit of the Month. The cute face for the red flower is from the PKS ~ Simple Sallies Face Assortment.  The face for the orange flower is from the PKS ~ Snow Cuties Face Assortment.

The face for the yellow flower is from the PKS ~ Sweet & Silly Face Assortment.  The face for the green flower is from the PKS ~ Snow Cuties Face Assortment.  The face for the blue flower is from the PKS ~ Sweet & Silly Face Assortment.  And the face for the purple flower is from the PKS ~ Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment.

I hope you all love my rainbow flowers today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps & Really Reasonable Ribbon blogs to see all the other creations this week.

My Creative Time ~ "Desinger Challenge" : Kim

Hello everyone!  Sorry I have been MIA, I've been a little under the weather lately.  But today I am back with the first of two posts!!  Wahoo!!  It's time for another "Designer Challenge" with My Creative Time.

The host for this challenge is the super talented and super fun Miss Kim and she has created a super cool Tic Tac Toe Challenge for all of us.  The guidelines for this challenge: Choose a row from the chart (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) and incorporate those three items on your project!  You are free to use anything in addition, just be sure the three items are included.

For my card, I chose the first vertical row of items: Use a Die, Buttons & Patterned Paper.

I'm in full blown Spring mode now because it's already reached 90 degrees here.  That's right...I said Spring...heck, when Summer weather in Phoenix can reach 120 degrees, then 90 degrees is considered Spring!!!!  LOL  ;)  Ok, onto my card - the white cardstock is from Recollections.  The orange cardstock is from my stash (I think it might be from Paper Trey Ink).  The green and yellow polka dot papers are from the Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints collection.

For my flower, I used the  MCT ~ Stitched Doily Die.  Isn't it just so pretty?  I put a really large orange button in the center and some yellow & orange Doodlebug Design ~ Jewels around the outside.  I put the whole flower on large pop dots for dimension.

I used green buttons for the flower stem.  And for the leaves, I used one of the mustache dies in the MCT ~ What's Growing On? stamp/die set.  I curled the leaves for more dimension.  The banner is cut with one of the dies in the MCT ~ Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  The "thinking of you" sentiment is from the MCT ~ Just A Little Note To Say stamp set.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  I also curled the banner for even more dimension.  And the super cute little bee is a Jolee's Boutique sticker.  I used a black ~ Zig Writer Pen to doodle the bee's flight path.

I just love how this card turned out!  I better enjoy it, because our HOT HOT summer is just around the corner!  ;)  Now, make sure you all head on over to My Creative Time  to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  And make sure you join in on the Challenge.  You will have 2 weeks to link up your entry.  I can't wait to see what you all make.  :)

Come back in just a bit, because I have another fun post to share with you all.  You don't want to miss it!!

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge 13-11 : Anything Goes

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-11 : Anything Goes.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a project of your choice using Peachy Keen Stamps.  It's "Anything Goes", but you must include Peachy Keen Stamps to win.

This is a super special Happy Birthday card for a super special friend of mine.  Some of you may know her as "The Tulip Collector" and TODAY IS HER BIRTHDAY!!!  So if any of you have an extra moment, please hop on over to her blog and leave her a little Happy Birthday Love!!!

Ok, all of the solid colors of cardstock are from Recollections.  And the patterned papers are from the Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints collection.  The tulips and butterflies are from Miss Kate Cuttables ~ Tulips With Butterflies collection.  I used the SVG files and cut them with my Silhouette ~ Cameo.

The super sweet faces are from the PKS ~ June 2012 : Kit of the Month.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for the accents and chalk for the cheeks.  I also put them both on pop dots for dimension.

I curled the butterfly wings for dimension and added some Recollections ~ Pearls to the bodies, as well as around the border too.  I used a black ~ Zig Writer Pen to doodle the flight paths of the butterflies.  The "happy birthday!" sentiment is from the PKS ~ Mini Fairies and Girl Gnomes.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  The cloud is cut with one of the cloud dies in the MCT ~ Fly Away With Me Dies.

My Creative Time ~ "Scrapping the Little Things"

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time.  For those of you who may be new to this, it's when we focus on making Project Life layouts, Smash Book layouts or just any other simple layout.

This time the Design Team is using an Easter or Spring theme for our layouts.  Here is my fun 8x8 Easter layout:

The white cardstock for the photo squares is from Bazzill.  I cut the photo squares with two different sizes of square punches.  The blue cardstock for the background is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Linen Closet collection.

This super cute little bunny is from the Miss Kate Cuttables ~ Some Bunny Loves You collection.  I used the SVGs and cut them with my Silhouette ~ Cameo.  Now, this particular bunny actually doesn't have any arms.  So I cut off the legs (since you wouldn't be able to see them anyway) and used them for the arms. The cardstock for the bunny is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Linen Closet collection.  The pink cardstock for the bunny highlights is from the Creative Imaginations ~ Dots & Stripes : Warm collection. The super sweet bunny face is from the PKS ~ Cute & Cuddly Face Assortment.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for the eyes, Copic ~ Sketch Markers for the nose and mouth, and some chalk for cheeks.  The bow is made with some floss in my stash and I added a little Recollections ~ Pearl to the center of the bow.

All of the super fun Easter eggs are cut with the small egg die in the MCT ~ Hello Spring stamp/die set. The paper for all the eggs is from the Simple Stories ~ Snap Life collection.  I used pop dots for some of the eggs for dimension.  The little fence is cut with a Martha Stewart ~ Border Punch.  And I used both the large and small grass stamps from the MCT ~ Happy Hunting stamp set.  The ink is Bamboo Leaves ~ Memento Ink for the border and then I used Copic ~ Sketch Markers to color in the grass.  I also used pop dots for the fence too.

The "Happy Easter" title is cut with the super cool MCT ~ Lowercase Fun Dies.  The paper is from the Simple Stories ~ Snap Just the Basics collection.

That's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.

**As a little bonus ~ If any of you would like to have this cute little Easter layout, just leave me a comment and let me know.  I will choose one winner on Friday, March 15th.

Have a great day my creative friends!  I will see you all again soon.  :)

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge 13-10 : Photo Inspiration

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #13-10 : Photo Inspiration.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a project using the following photo for inspiration.  Interpret the photo ANY way that you would like, just be sure to let us in on your creative process.  The colors next to the photo are only suggested.

Here is the photo:

And here is my project:

So the first thing that I think when I look at that photo is that it's the perfect place for fairies to live!!!  If you believe in fairies of course.  ;)  There's all those beautiful trees, the moss, the water...you just know there are some living in there!!!  So that was my interpretation.  :)  Plus, I used the color scheme as well.

I bought this "C" at Michaels. They also have all the other letters in the alphabet.  It's plastic, but from a distance it looks kinda real...lol.

All of the beautiful little fairies are from the PKS ~ Mini Fairies & Girl Gnomes stamp set.  I colored them in with Copic ~ Sketch Markers.  You can't really tell in this photo, but I also added some Star Dust ~ Stickles to their wings.

All of the flowers are cut with the smallest flower die in the MCT ~ Flower Petal Dies set.  The paper for the flowers is from the Creative Imaginations ~ Dots & Stripes : Warm collection.  I curled the petals a little and added some Doodlebug Design ~ Jewels to the centers.  If you look closely, you can also see that around the "C" itself, I wrapped 3 different colors of Hemp Twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

This label is cut with the MCT ~ Vintage Stitched Label Dies.  And the "Wishing you a fairy nice day!" sentiment is from the PKS ~ Mini Fairies & Girl Gnomes stamp set.  All of the ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.

Well, that's my take on the Photo Inspiration Challenge.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  And if you have the time, join in on the fun!  I can' wait to see what you all make!!  See you all again tomorrow.  :)
