Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #41

Hello everyone!  And HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #41 : 3D Wall Art. The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a 3D-Wall Art project. Design must be new and must include Peachy Keen Stamps to win.

More Disneyland fun...

This is a simple $1 wood frame from Michaels that I just painted with some black acrylic paint.  Super quick and easy!

All of the cute little pumpkins are cut with the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Pumpkin Trio stamp & die set.  Their faces are from that set as well as the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Pumpkin Faces stamp set.  The cardstock for the pumpkins, their stems and the sign are from my scraps pile.

I chalked up all the pumpkins for more of a distressed look. And I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for the eyes.

The little curlies on the pumpkins are made with The Twinery ~ Peapod, Seaweed & Honeydew Twine.  To make them so cute and curly, I used a technique I just learned from Debbie in her Friday Tip of the Day that you can see here.  I also used various sizes of pop dots behind the pumpkins for dimension.

The sign is cut from the Create a Critter 2 ~ Cricut Cartridge.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen and a black ~ Zig Writer Pen for the distress marks.  I used pop dots for this as well for more dimension.

And the super cool spider ribbon is from Michaels.  Want to hear something funny?  I looked and looked at more than one store to find this ribbon on a roll, but no luck.  So at one of the Michaels, they had this gigantic bow - you know, the ones they sell in the floral department?  Well, even though it was a bazillion dollars...I bought it!!!  LOL  I just had to have that ribbon!!  Isn't it the coolest??

Well, that's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog to see the rest of the entries.  And have a happy and safe Halloween everyone! See you all again soon.

Oh, and don't forget - it's "3D Wednesday" over at My Creative Time.

So head on over there to check out what the Design Team has created.

My Creative Time ~ "Scrappy Monday"

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Scrappy Monday" with My Creative Time.  And the twist for today is that we are making "ABC" layouts.  This means that we are choosing any letter of the alphabet and then including items that start with that letter on our layout.

Of course, I just had to choose the letter "C" !!!  This is a Christmas layout, with lots of Circles, Christmas Colored Cardstock (red & green...ok, I know that's cheating lol) and Candy Cane Colored Twine.  How's that for a bunch of "Cs"?   :)

Ok, if I've never shared this before, one of my most favorite things in the whole wide world...is going to Disneyland!!!  These are some fun Christmas pictures from 2010.

The green polka dot paper is from the Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints collection.  The red cardstock is from Recollections.  And the light green patterned paper is from the Recollections ~ Christmas & Winter Stack.  The pictures are all cut out with circle punches.

The "Magical Holiday" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ It's A Magical Season stamp set.  The minute I saw this sentiment - the first thing I thought of was Disneyland and I just couldn't wait to do a layout!!!  The "It's a" is also from this set, but on a different stamp.  I taped off the rest of the sentiment so I could just use those two words.  The pretty snowflakes are also from this stamp set.  If you look closely, you can see that I added some tiny Recollections ~ Pearls to the centers of each snowflake.

Now, I know that these Mickey ornaments are just the cutest thing EVER!!!  But, I can't take credit for creating them.  My fellow Design Team Member ~ Glora (who is also a Disney fanatic) created these.  You can see her original design here. They are made using the round ornament die from the My Creative Time ~ Warm Holiday Fun stamp set and the little stitched circle die from the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit.  The pretty embossed snowflake cardstock is from the Recollections ~ Sugar Plums Stack.  The twine for the bows is The Twinery ~ Maraschino twine.  I used pop dots behind the ornaments for some nice dimension.

All the way across the bottom of both pages I stamped the word "Believe" from the My Creative Time ~ It's A Magical Season stamp set.  It's the perfect fit for the Happiest Place on Earth!!  Do you believe?   ;)

I'm not sure if you can see it, but I dotted the "i" with tiny Recollections ~ Pearls.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.

Well, I know it's not even Halloween yet, LOL, but I hope you like my Christmas Disney layout.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  Have a great day everyone!  I will see you all again soon.

MCT ~ "Desinger's Challenge" : Host - Ruthie

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "Designer's Challenge" over at My Creative Time.  For those of you who are new to this - every other Thursday, one of the members of the MCT ~ Design Team will host a challenge.

This time the host is Miss Ruthie.  And her challenge is:  Make a large decorative tag.  The tag needs to measure at least 4x6, but it can be larger if you want.  And it can be any shape.

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I decided to make this special tag for someone I know who has recently battled breast cancer:

The tag is cut from the Art Philosophy ~ Cricut Cartridge. I cut it out first in chipboard for strength and then with the cardstock.  The cardstock for the middle ribbon is from the Bo Bunny ~ Double Dots collection.  All the other patterned papers are from the Me And My Big Ideas ~ Breast Cancer Support Collection.

I stamped all of the ribbons with the large ribbon stamp in the My Creative Time ~ Race For A Cure stamp set.  I hand cut them out and then popped them up with pop dots for dimension.

To make the flowers in the center of each ribbon, I used the My Creative Time ~ Rolled Flower Dies.  In the middle of each flower is a pink Queen & Co. ~ Twinkle Goosebump.

The "I'm a Survivor!" sentiment and each of the other words are from the My Creative Time ~ Race For A Cure stamp set.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.

I added some pink ~ Doodlebug Design gems in the corners. And I threaded the tag with some fabulous pink gingham ~ Celebrate It : 360 ribbon.

I just love how it turned out!!!  Here is a look at the Race For A Cure stamp set.  It's a perfect addition to your collection, especially since it seems we all know someone who has been affected by this horrible disease.

That's it for me today.  Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  And don't forget to join in on the Designer's Challenge.  You have two weeks to link up your project.  I can't wait to see what you all make!!!  Have a great day.  I will see you again soon.

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #40

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #40 : Just Cards - Word Up.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a card where the focus of the creation is the sentiment.  You can accomplish this with clean and simple designs or let your creativity go wild with patterns and colors, as long as the sentiment shines through as the main focus.  Design must be new; must showcase the sentiment or words as the focal point; and must include Peachy Keen Stamps to win.

I decided to go with clean and simple:

The cardstock is from Recollections.  The "Thank You" stamp is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Gnomegrown stamp set.  I colored in one of the "Thank You" sentiments with a yellow ~ Prismacolor Pencil.  I added two little black brads from my stash just to draw the eye more in that direction.  And I added some yellow ~ Rick Rack from my stash as another simple accent.

That's it.  Super simple today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog to see the rest of the entries.

Also, don't forget that today over at My Creative Time is "Scrapping the Little Things".   So head on over there to see what the Design Team has created.

I will see you all again soon.  Have a great day!

My Creative Time ~ 2 Day Halloween Blog Hop

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the My Creative Time ~ 2 Day Halloween Blog Hop.  Are you having a SPOOKTACULAR time already?  You should have arrived here from the super talented Amy's blog.  If not, then make sure you head back to My Creative Time so that you can start at the beginning with Emma.  You don't want to miss a thing!

This is a fun 6x6 card.  The green patterned paper is from the We R Memory Keepers ~ Spookyville Collection.  The black and orange cardstock are from the Doodlebug Design ~ Haunted Manor Collection.  And the purple and kraft cardstock are from Recollections.

This super cute little bear is cut from the Teddy Bear Parade ~ Cricut Cartridge.  Her fun little pumpkin costume is made using the layering egg dies from the My Creative Time ~ Hello Spring stamp set.  (My fellow DT Member - Kim came up with this super cute idea).  In order to make it look more like a costume, after I assembled the egg cuts together to form the pumpkin, then I cut the top off to make a hat.

Her sweet little face is stamped with the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Bear Facial Features stamp set.  I colored her pretty eyes in with a blue ~ Prismacolor Pencil and did the accents with a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll Pen.  I made some cute little cheeks with chalk.  And I colored in her mouth with a red ~ Prismacolor Pencil.

The little pumpkin hat is accented with a pretty leaf that is cut with a leaf die from the My Creative Time ~ Piles of Smiles stamp set.  The stem is made with the tail end of the small banner die in the My Creative Time ~ Fly Away With Me Sentiments stamp set.  (I got the stem idea from Miss Emma herself...isn't it perfect?!)  I also added a few little curlies that I made with craft wire from my stash.

For the border at the top and bottom of the card, I used the "Trick or Treat" sentiment from the My Creative Time ~ Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set.  The two star bursts are cut with a die in the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit.  And both the sentiments are from the My Creative Time ~ Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set. Don't you just love the fun font?  I added some lime green ~ Stickles to the heart for a little sparkle.

I just LOVE this ribbon.  It's Celebrate It ~ Halloween ribbon.  I added a couple more curlies made with craft wire from my stash.  I added a pretty orange gem to the center, as well as some smaller gems in the border at the top and bottom of the card.

Isn't she just adorable.  I was going to mail this to someone, but I think I might have to find a cute little frame or shadowbox for it.  :)

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge # 39

Hello everyone!  It's time for the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #39 : Color Inspiration.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a project using colors in the palette below. Design must be new and must include Peachy Keen Stamps to win.

Here is the color inspiration:

And here is my card (you can't really tell, but the colors in the background patterned papers include the color inspiration; the colors aren't exact but they are pretty close):

All of the patterned papers and the cute little tab at the top are from the SEI ~ Halloween Hoopla collection.  The solid colors of cardstock are from Recollections.  The super fun spider is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Fuzzy Spider stamp/die set.  I chalked him up a bit to make him look meaner.  ;)  And all of the little cuties on each side of the spider are from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Candy Monsters stamp/die set.

I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen for the accents in the eyes and teeth.   And I used various colors of Zig Writer pens for the mouths and little spider boots.

For extra dimension, I used pop dots behind all the little cuties.  The ribbon is from my stash.

That's it for today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge Blog to see the rest of the entries.  Have a great day!  I will see you all tomorrow.

Oh, and don't forget . . . today is 3-D Wednesday over at My Creative Time.  So head on over there to see what the fabulous Design Team has created.
