"My FAVORITE Stamp of the Month" with My Creative Time

Hello everyone!  It's time for "My FAVORITE Stamp of the Month" with My Creative Time!  And boy are you in for a treat.  This month there are 3 "favorite" stamp sets and they are:  Have Fun In The Sun, My Little Firecracker and You're My Best Buddy.  In case you haven't seen them yet, here's a peek:

AND the BEST part is that they will all be on sale for the entire month of June!  Also, Emma will be having a "Link-Up Party" too.  So if you have any of these sets, show us what you have made with them.  We always love to see what you are creating!

For my project today, I made a very special card featuring the My Little Firecracker stamp set:

I know this might look a bit odd at first, but this is a very special card for a very special man.  My Father-in-Law's birthday is always either on or right around Memorial Day AND he is a WWII Veteran.  So this year when I made his birthday card, I decided to combine the two themes.  He absolutely loved it!!!

The black and the white cardstock are from Recollections.  The shimmery silver piece of cardstock between the black and the white is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Linen Closet collection.

All of these balloons are made with the egg die in the My Creative Time ~ Hello Spring stamp set.  The paper for the solid red and solid blue balloons are from Recollections. All the other patterned papers are from Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints collection.  The "You are my Hero" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Happy Homecoming stamp set.  All of the other sentiments on the other balloons are from the My Creative Time ~ My Little Firecracker stamp set.  I added strings to each balloon with black ~ DMC Floss and some little star gems from my stash.  And it's hard to see in this photo, but I also filled in Emma's signature stitching lines with a Clear Star ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

The "Thank You for your service." sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Happy Homecoming stamp set. And the "Happy Happy Birthday!" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Wow! So Many Candles stamp set. All of the ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  The pretty bow is made with Celebrate It ~ American Collection ribbon.  For extra dimension I used some pop dots underneath a few of the balloons.  And I used a black ~ Zig Writer pen for the stitching along the outside of the card.

I just love how this turned out.  And my Father-in-Law loved it too!  Isn't that the best part of crafting???  Seeing the look on someone's face when they say "You made that?"?!?  Homemade gifts are the best!!!

Well, have a great day my friends!  And don't forget to head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  And make sure you show us your creations with the "Link-Up Party".  I want to see what you are making!!!  :)   See you all again soon.

Oh ~ and in case you missed some of the other projects that I have made with these stamp sets - here you go:

3-D Wednesday with My Creative Time

Hello everyone!  It's time for another "3-D Wednesday" with My Creative Time.  The goal is to challenge yourself by making a 3-D project...anything besides a card or layout.

For my project today, I have some quick and simple baby shower treat holders:

These cute little baby onesie treat holders are cut from the Tag, Bags, Boxes and More 2 ~ Cricut Cartridge.  Inside each little treat holder is a bag of those yummy little buttermints.

The patterned paper for this little girl treat holder is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Baby Girl cardstock stack.  For some extra fun, I added some pink - Celebrate It ~ Occasions Tulle to look like a little tutu.  For the pretty sparkle, I add some EK ~ Success - Sticko dot stickers.

To decorate the top of the baggie of buttermints, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies.  The "It's a Shower!" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ All Around Everything stamp set.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  In the center, I added more pink tulle and another little sparkly sticko.

The patterned paper for this little boy treat holder is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Baby Boy cardstock stack.  I kept this one even more simple by just adding some blue ~ EK - Success Sticko dots.

And once again, to decorate the top of the baggie of buttermints, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies.  The "Welcome Sweet Baby" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ All Around Everything stamp set.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  In the center, I added more blue tulle and another little sparkly sticko.

These were super quick and easy to make and would be really fun baby shower treat holders for mints, chocolates or nuts. Hope you enjoyed them!

Don't forget to head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I will see you again tomorrow for a very special card that I made for a very special man.  Have a great day!

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #19

Hello everyone!  Wahoo . . . two posts in one day!  How fun is that?!?  I've missed the last couple of Peachy Challenges, but I'm back today with some more Peachy fun.  It's the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Challenge #19 : Color Inspiration.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Design must be new, must showcase the color combo below, be created for this challenge and not previously posted.  Must include Peachy Keen Stamps to win.

Here is the color inspiration:

Remember awhile back when I mentioned how long it sometimes takes me to pick out papers?  Well, this might have been a record!!  LOL  These colors are so pretty, but picking out papers to match was a tough one!!  Here's what I came up with:

Aren't they so cute?  I just love making happy flowers!!  The black card base and the kraft background cardstock are from Recollections.  All of the flowers are made with the My Creative Time ~ Flower Petal Dies and the small circle die in the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit.

How can you help but smile?  They are just so cheery!!!  The patterned paper for this first little flower is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Shimmer Stack.  Her cute little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Everyday Character Face Assortment.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen for the eyes and a little bit of chalk for the cheeks.

The patterned paper for this second little flower is from the SEI ~ Desert Bloom collection.  Her cute little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Simple Sallies Face Assortment.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen for the eyes and a little chalk for the cheeks.

This pretty paper is from Recollections.  His super cute face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ In Stitches Face Assortment.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen for the eyes and tooth, just a touch of chalk for cheeks and a Prismacolor ~ Pencil for the nose.

I think this is my favorite one!  The patterned paper for this pretty little flower is from the SEI ~ Desert Springs collection. Her super cute face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Cornies Face Assortment.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen for the eyes and some chalk for cheeks.

This pretty purple paper is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Shimmery Stack.  Her sweet little face is from the Peachy Keens Stamps ~ In Stitches Face Assortment.  I used a Prismacolor ~ Pencil for the nose and some chalk for the cheeks.

The patterned paper for this last little flower is from the SEI ~ Desert Springs collection.  Her sweet little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.  I used a white ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen for the eyes and some chalk for the cheeks.

The gray paper for the flower centers is from Recollections.  In order to give all the flowers some character and dimension, I curled all the petals and I used pop dots underneath the flower centers. I used Wilton ~ popsicle sticks for the flower stems and some black ~ Celebrate It Occasions Tulle for leaves.  The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ March 2012 KOTM.  All of the ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.

Well my friends, that's it for today.  Make sure you head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog to check out all the other cool entries.  See you again tomorrow!  Have a great day.   :)

Wobble Wednesday Challenge

Hello everyone!  This is my first of two posts today . . . wahoo!!! I'm sure that most of you know by now what an "Action Wobble" is, but I just got some for the very first time from a super sweet friend of mine.  So I thought I would give them a try and also join the challenge at the same time.  It's the "Wobble Wednesday ~ Challenge #11".  The guidelines for this challenge: Make a project for SUMMER.  You can make anything you want - just include a Wobble and a summer theme!

Living in Phoenix-Arizona we tend to go from Winter straight to Summer LOL.  We don't have much of a spring before it jumps into the 100s.  So here is a quick little summer card with my very first Action Wobble:

Doesn't it make you want to go jump in the pool???  Ahhhhhh! All of the solid colored papers are from Recollections.  The strip of striped patterned paper is from the Fancy Pants Designs ~ Beach Bum collection.

All of the cute little images are from the My Creative Time ~ All Around Everything Accessories stamp set.  I colored them all in with Prismacolor ~ Pencils and then blended them with Odorless Mineral Spirits.  Here are some close up shots:

The ink for all the stamping is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink. Also, the small and large squares were cut with the Creative Memories ~ Square Maker punch.  It's perfect for shadowing your images!

The "Happy" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Happy Hunting stamp set.  The "Summer" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Have Fun In The Sun stamp set.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.

Now for the fun part . . . the Action Wobble is behind the sun and this is a picture I took while it was wiggling . . . how fun!!! For extra dimension, I put some pop dots behind the other two images.

Well, happy summer my creative friends!  Make sure and head on over to the Wobble Wednesday Challenge Blog to check out all the fun.  See you again in just a bit with my second post for the day...

Scrappy Monday Layout Challenge with My Creative Time

Hello everyone!  I'm back!  :)  I hope you all had a great holiday weekend.  I sure did!  I got lots of time all by myself in my craft room ~ my happiest place on earth (except for Disneyland of course...lol)!

Well, it's time again for another "Scrappy Monday Layout Challenge" with My Creative Time.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create any size layout of your choice, using only ONE picture & incorporate buttons onto your layout.  How fun and easy does that sound?!?

I decided to keep working on my 8x8 album for our Kauai trip awhile back, so here is another really quick and simple layout.

This is one of my most favorite photos from our Kauai trip. Isn't it just so pretty?  Can you tell what my favorite part is? (Take a close look and I will tell you at the end).

The kraft cardstock is from Recollections.  The pink and blue cardstock are from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Le Tres Chic cardstock stack.  And the purple cardstock is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Chateau Lavender cardstock stack.

At the top of the page I did some heat embossing.  All of the words are from the My Creative Time ~ Have Fun In The Sun stamp set.  Aren't they just perfect adjectives for this layout?  And they are just the right size too.  I used Versamark ~ Watermark Ink and clear ~ Stampendous Embossing Powder for the embossing.  Here are some close up shots:

If you look closely, you can tell that I cut thin strip of the kraft cardstock and then stamped the words onto the long strip and then popped the whole thing up with pop dots for a little dimension.

The pretty pink wood flower and the wood button are from my stash.  The super pretty pink hemp twine is from Liz's Paperloft Boutique.  I only used the darker pink for the bow, but I twisted the darker pink and the lighter pink together for the piece across the bottom.

Did you find my favorite part of the layout yet?  Look to the upper right of the flower ~ you see that man in the photo waving his arms?  That's my sweetie!!!  I watched him walk all the way out on those rocks and then when he turned around to wave - I snapped this photo with perfect timing!  :)

Well, that's it!  I love how it turned it.  Simple layout, beautiful colors and I think the flower draws your eye right to my favorite part ~ my hubby!

So get busy!  I want to see your layout too!  You can join in on the challenge over at My Creative Time. You will have two weeks to enter.  The deadline is June 10th.  Now let's go see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  See you over there.   :)

My Creative Time ~ May Stamp Release : BLOG HOP!!!

Hello everyone!  So how did you like Sneak Peek Week? Wasn't it FABULOUS?!?!  Just when I think Emma can't make anything better - she blows me away all over again!  Well, if you arrived here from the incredibly talented Amy's blog, then you are in the right place.  If not, then make sure you go back to My Creative Time so that you can start at the beginning with Emma.  You don't want to miss a thing!!!

For my projects today, I am showcasing the brand new and totally awesome My Creative Time ~ Tag Dies.  You are sooo gonna want these!  They are the perfect size and make perfect cuts every time!!!  I just love them!

Since earlier this week I showed you how to use the Tag Dies as an actual tag, today I thought I would show you how to use them as a part of something else.  I made 4 different and super fun cards for you today.  Aren't they great?  I just love how each and every one of them turned out.  I must say though, that even though they are quick and easy to make - they still took me forever to make!!  Does anyone else stare at their paper for hours and hours trying to pick out the right combinations???  LOL  I drive myself nuts!!!   ;)

Ok, let's start with a birthday card!  The white card base is from Recollections.  The polka dot background paper is from Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints.  The cardstock for the tag is X-Press It ~ Blending Card paper that I use especially for my Copic Markers.

The tag of course is cut with the brand new and super terrific My Creative Time ~ Tag Dies.  This is the first of two tags in this set.  Both of the sentiments, the super cute hearts and the cool pocket are all from the also brand new My Creative Time ~ Fun Pockets stamp set.  You may notice that in stamping the hearts, I added a few extra hearts . . . couldn't help it . . . they are just so fun!!!   ;)  The ink for all the stamping is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  And I used Copic ~ Sketch Markers to color the hearts.  The super fun rainbow ribbon is from Celebrate It ~ 360.  And then I added a little white bow with some DMC floss.

Next up, who doesn't love a little chocolate now and then?!? The paper for the card base and the ice cream cone is from Recollections.  The chocolate brown cardstock for the background and the hot fudge topping is from Bazzill.  The mint green paper for the background and the ice cream is from Recollections.  The cardstock for the red cherry is also from Recollections.  And the cream colored patterned paper for the tag is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Baby Boy Stack.

This is the second tag in the brand new My Creative Time ~ Tag Dies set.  The yummy ice cream cone is cut with the fabulous dies in the new My Creative Time ~ Celebrate Good Times stamp set.  If you look closely you can see that I made some mint chocolate chip ice cream by using the little sprinkles stamp to make it look like chocolate chips in the ice cream.  Yummy!  And then for the hot fudge, I used some Glossy Accents for that extra touch.   Doesn't it look good enough to eat???  The sentiment at the top is from the My Creative Time ~ Do The Cocoa Motion stamp set.  And the sentiment at the bottom is from the My Creative Time ~ Celebrate Good Times stamp set.  The ink is black ~ Ranger Archival Ink.  The fun ribbon at the top of the tag is some crinkle ribbon that I got in a big ribbon share.  Fun!  Fun! Fun!

Ok, I think this next one is my favorite of the bunch . . . because the entire thing is made with My Creative Time Dies . . . can you figure out which ones???  The white card base is from Recollections.  All of the patterned papers for the background and all the parts of the flower are from the SEI ~ Desert Springs collection.  The paper for the tag is Recollections.

Here's a closer look at the flower.  Have you figured out which dies I used yet???  The tag of course is cut with the My Creative Time ~ Tag Dies - this is the first die again.  If I had to choose, I think I might say this is my favorite of the two, but heck - they are both absolutely fabulous!!!  The pretty flower is made with the My Creative Time ~ Flower Petal Dies.  Ok, are you ready for this . . . the leaves are made with an upside down mustache from one of the mustache dies in the My Creative Time ~ What's Growing On? stamp set. AND the stem is made with the tie die in the My Creative Time ~ Here's Lookin' At You stamp set.  I KNOW!  I KNOW!  I have to say I'm pretty proud of my creativity on this one. My husband thought it was great too!  ;)  The gem in the center is from my stash.  LOVE IT!!!

Ok, for the last one, I still have a couple of graduations for family and friends that are coming up.  I made this cute little card for my BFF's stepdaughter-to-be.  She is graduating from high school and their colors are blue and red.  The cardstock for the white card base, the black background, the white tag and the blue pocket and hat are all from Recollections.  The red polka dot paper is from Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints.  The fun polka dot ribbon is Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations.

The tag is cut with the second tag die in the My Creative Time ~ Tag Dies set.  I used a black ~ Zig Writer pen to fill in Emma's signature stitching line.  (perfect stitching every time!!) The cute little pocket is cut with one of the pocket dies in the My Creative Time ~ Fun Pockets stamp set.  And the fun little graduation cap is cut with a die in the My Creative Time ~ Here's Lookin' At You stamp set.  The fun red and white gems are actually little pieces that I cut from a Queen & Co. ~ Twinkle Border gem set.  The "Hats Off To You!" sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Here's Lookin' At You stamp set.

Well, there you go!  I hope you like my four little cards for today.  I think these Tag Dies have moved into my #2 slot of all time favorite MCT products (right behind the Embossed Gift Card Holder Die)!!!  I hope you all enjoy them too!
