Happy New Year ~ 2012 !!!

Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!  Are you ready for 2012?  I know that I have been MIA lately, but like most of you I have been doing lots of family stuff over the holidays.  Hopefully I will get back to a regular crafting schedule soon. I think I am having crafting withdrawal!  LOL

Over the last couple of months, I had so much fun making the Thanksgiving bouquet  and the Snowman Christmas bouquet, that I decided to make a fun Happy New Year bouquet too.

Sorry the picture isn't the greatest, I was in a super big hurry.  The colors are all black, white, gray and silver.  It's soooo much cuter in person.  I wish you all could see it.  The solid colored cardstock is from Recollections.  The patterned paper is my favorite Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints.

The “Happy New Year” is cut from the Martha Stewart : Seasonal Cake Art ~ Cricut cartridge.  I added a little pen work with a White ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  And I totally forgot to write down the name of the glitter cardstock in the background, but I know I got it at Joann's.

The fun champagne bottle is cut from the Simply Charmed ~ Cricut cartridge.  I added some Silver ~ Stickles to the exploding champagne at the top of the bottle.  The “Cheers!” sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Small Talk stamp set.  And at the bottom of the bottle, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies with a super cute face from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Happy New Year Face Assortment.  I colored in the face with Prismacolor ~ pencils and added some Silver ~ Stickles to the champagne bubbles on his face.

The fun party hat is cut from the Straight From the Nest ~ Cricut cartridge. And once again, I added some Silver ~ Stickles for a little extra sparkle.

Behind the champagne bottle and party hat is a fun gift card holder that is cut with the My Creative Time ~ Embossed Gift Card Holder Die.  At the top, I stamped the "Happy New Year" sentiment from the My Creative Time ~ Small Talk stamp set .  I used Versamark ~ Watermark Ink and White ~ Stampendous Embossing Powder.  On the front, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circles Dies and the super cute face from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Happy New Year Face Assortment.  I colored him in with Prismacolor ~ pencils and added chalk for the cheeks and Silver ~ Stickles to the champagne bubbles on his face.  To finish it off, I added a pretty little bow made from Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations ribbon.

The champagne glasses are cut from the Martha Stewart : Seasonal Cake Art ~ Cricut cartridge.  And I added more Silver ~ Stickles for the champagne inside the glasses.  Behind the glasses is another gift card holder cut with the My Creative Time ~ Embossed Gift Card Holder Die.  At the top, I stamped the "Cheers!" sentiment from the My Creative Time ~ Small Talk stamp set.  I used Versamark ~ Watermark Ink and White ~ Stampedous Embossing Powder.  On the front, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies again and another super cute face from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Happy New Year Face Assortment.  I colored her in with Prismacolor ~ pencils and added some cheeks with a little chalk.  And it's hard to see, but I also added another pretty little bow made with Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations ribbon.

At the bottom of the box is the year “2012” cut from the Birthday Bash ~ Cricut cartridge.  I used my Gypsy to weld all the numbers together.  I added some stitching with a White ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  And I used the super cute Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Happy New Year Face Assortment for the fun little face.  Too cute!!!  The beautiful, sparkley bow is made from Celebrate It ~ Holiday Noel ribbon.  And for the scalloped border on the paper behind the bow, I used the EK Success ~ Scalloped Scallop border punch.  I forgot to take a picture of it, but inside the box I used some silver star confetti to cover the green floral foam.  And all of the ink for the stamped images is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black ink.

Now, unlike my other two bouquets that I kept for myself  ;)  I actually made this one to give to my super sweet friend ~ Christine.  She is one of the latest members in our addictive world of all things Cricut, My Creative Time and Peachy Keen.   She also just started her very own blog too ~ Christine's Creative Cards!  You go girl!!!  Make sure you hop on over and give her a little love and welcome her to our crazy crafting bloggy world!!!  :)

Well my friends, that's it for 2011.  I can't wait to see you all back here in 2012!  I hope you all have a very happy and safe New Year's Eve!!  See you soon...

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone!  Can you believe this week is Christmas?!?!  Where has the time gone?  Well, I'm here today with another challenge entry.  Today it's the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Sketch Challenge #67 : Designer's Choice.  The guidelines for this challenge:  It's "Designer's Choice".  Create a card or layout with your Peachy Keen Stamps.  Yes, once in awhile we ask that you use your Peachy Keen Stamps to play and today is one of those days!  Create ANYTHING you'd like, but you MUST use your Peachy Keen Stamps!  Project must be new, created for this challenge.

Here is my entry:

The card base and the black cardstock are from Recollections.  The red and green pieces are from the Coredinations ~ Vintage Collection.  The super cute power couple (lol) are from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Faceless Christmas Heads stamp set.  And their faces are from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.  Instead of using  my colored pencils like usual, I tried out my Copic Markers to color in the cute couple.  I didn't do any fancy shading or anything, still have to practice that a bit.  I used a Black (100) ~ Copic Marker for the hats; a Cadmium Orange (YR07) ~ Copic Marker for their noses; and a Rose Red (R85) ~ Copic Marker for their tongues.  I added a little chalk for some cheeks.  And on the snowlady's hat I used Green ~ Stickles.  And on the snowman's hat I used Xmas Red ~ Stickles.  On top of the black piece of cardstock, I added a pretty piece of Paper Pizazz ~ Hearts & Dots Vellum.  The sentiment at the top of the card is from the My Creative Time ~ Mixed Holiday Sentiments.  And the sentiment on the bottom of the card is from the My Creative Time ~ Gift Card Sentiments.  The red and green pieces were cut with the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die.

Now...wanna hear a funny story? My mother is a professional photographer. So growing up we always had fun family photo Christmas cards. Then when I got into crafting, I started making my own fun family photo Christmas cards. Basically, what I'm getting at is that Christmas cards are a HUGE tradition in my family. Well, this year...I was so excited about all of my projects for the My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas...that I totally forgot about my Christmas cards!!!!! I never even came up with a design or a photo or anything!!! In fact, I didn't even remember until we got our first Christmas card in the mail last week. Holy Cow...talk about panic LOL. Well, thank goodness for great products right?  This card was so easy to make using my favorite PKS & MCT products, that I decided to whip out 59 more of them!!!  Phew, got them in the mail just in time!  Hopefully everyone will get them before Christmas.

Here is another card that is exactly the same, just using a different pattern vellum called Paper Pizazz ~ Swirls Vellum:

For some extra fun little laughs...I thought I would show you our picture inside.  Most of the time we try to do a nice pretty/serious picture, but this time we went for a bit of fun humor:

If you knew my husband...this would totally make you laugh!   ;)

Well my crafty friends, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!  I will see you all back here again soon!

Simply Crafts Challenge

Hello everyone!  Congrats to all the winners from the My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas!  I think I have finally started to recover.  LOL.  Today, I have a really quick challenge entry.  It's the Simply Crafts ~ December 2011 Challenge.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Make any kind of project using the "stocking cut" on the Jolly Holidays ~ Cricut Lite cartridge.

I wasn't going to post this because I didn't like how my card turned out.  I had a house full of people over to watch the Arizona Cardinals football game and I just didn't have enough time to step it up...so here is my quick and simple card entry:

The black and white cardstock are from Recollections.  All of the patterned papers are from the Recollections ~ Bright & Jolly paper stack.  I cut the cute little stockings from the Jolly Holidays ~ Cricut cartridge.  I added Xmas Red ~ Stickles to the one on the left.  And I added Lime Green ~ Stickles to the one on the right.  I also added some cute little Recollections ~ pearls to both stockings.  At the top of the card, I used the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die - which I cut in half.  I used the My Creative Time ~ Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set for the border.  And I used the My Creative Time ~ Gift Card Sentiments stamp set for the sentiment.  The ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black.

That's it.  I totally think it's missing something, but I guess not all cards have to be fancy-shmancy right?  Make sure you head on over to the Simply Crafts blog.  It was just started a couple of months ago by two great gals Glora & Pam and they are having a new challenge every month. Give it a try...it's a whole lotta fun!

Well, I hope you all have a great week!  I will be back in a few days with another Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge entry.  See you soon  :)

My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas : Day 12

Oh no . . . say it isn't so!!!!  It's our last day :(   It's Day 12 of the My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas.  If you arrived here from Emma's blog, then you are headed in the right direction.  If not, then make sure you start there because you don't want to miss a thing!

I can't believe it's our last day!  This has been so much fun!  I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for visiting each and every day and leaving such wonderful comments.  I hope you have found lots of creative inspiration for all of your holiday needs.  I am still in awe of all the awesome talent on Emma's amazing Design Team.  I am truly honored to be a part of such a wonderful group of people and such a super fun experience.

In reading all the comments over the last 11 days, the one thing I kept seeing over and over again, was how many people love a good snowman.  So because of that, I decided to make a super fun Snowman Christmas Bouquet as my grand finale project.  I hope you enjoy it!    :)

Isn't it great?!?!  LOL  It makes me smile every time I look at it.  I just absolutely LOVE it!!!  I think I even like it better than my Thanksgiving centerpiece I did last month (seen here).  Normally I don't ever do this, but today I am going to give you a specific list of all the My Creative Time products & the Peachy Keen Stamps products that I used.  I will still give you all the details below, but I used so many products that they won't all fit in my "labels" LOL .  So here you go:

My Creative Time:

********************

Peachy Keen Stamps:

I don't think I have ever used so many products in one project before.  LOL  But that just shows you how well all of the My Creative Time products co-ordinate together!  Thanks Emma!!!   ;)

Ok, where do I start first?  lol   All of the patterned papers for this project are from the Recollections ~ Sugar Plums paper stack.  The red and green papers for the scallop shapes are from the Coredinations ~ Vintage Collection.  All of the "flowers" in this bouquet are attached to either a Wilton's ~ Lollipop stick or a Woodsies ~ kraft stick for their stems.

In the center, at the very top of the bouquet, I made a December calendar.  I used the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die to cut the base for the calendar.  I used the My Creative Time ~ Whimsical Calendar Days Stamp Set for the border and calendar images.  The ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black.  The little square around the 25th of December is stamped with Memento ~ Rhubarb Stalk ink.  I mounted the calendar onto a beautiful rosette cut from the Ribbons & Rosettes ~ Cricut cartridge.

This cute little snowlady is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Faceless Christmas Heads stamp set.  Her face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.  I colored her in with Prismacolor pencils and then blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits.  I added some cute little cheeks with chalk.  And for a little bling, I added some X-Mas Red ~ Stickles to her hat.  She is mounted with pop dots onto the background piece cut with the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die.

This handsome little fellow is from the Peachy Keens Stamps ~ Faceless Christmas Heads stamp set.  And his face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.  I colored him in with Prismacolor pencils and then blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits.  I added some very soft cheeks with chalk.  And I also added some Firefly ~ Stickles to his hat.  He is mounted with pop dots to the background piece that is cut with the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die

My next little handsome snowman is also stamped with the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Faceless Christmas Heads stamp set.  His face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Winter Face Assortment.  I colored him in with Prismacolor pencils and then blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits.  I added some sparkle to his hat with Lime Green ~ Stickles.  He is mounted with pop dots to the background piece that is cut with the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die.  I also used the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Borders to stamp the border with Versamark ~ Watermark ink and white ~ Stampendous embossing powder.

Cute little snowlady number two is also stamped with the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Faceless Christmas Heads stamp set.  Her sweet little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Winter Face Assortment.  I colored her in with Prismacolor pencils and then blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits.  For a little extra sparkle, I added some Fruit Punch ~ Stickles to her hat.  She is attached with pop dots to the background piece that is cut with the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die.  I also used the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Borders to stamp the border with Versamark ~ Watermark ink and white ~ Stampendous embossing powder.

To the far left of the bouquet are two rosettes.  Both rosettes are cut with the Ribbons & Rosettes ~ Cricut cartridge.  For the lighter green rosette, I used the heart die and the love stamp from the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp setThe ink is Memento ~ Ladybug Red.  For the darker green rosette, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies.  Then I used the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set for the "Merry Christmas" sentiment.  The ink is Memento ~ Cottage Ivy.

To the far right of the bouquet are two more rosettes.  Both rosettes are cut with the Ribbons & Rosettes ~ Cricut cartridge.  For the red rosette on the top, I used the heart die and the love stamp from the My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  The ink is Memento ~ Cottage Ivy.  For the lower red rosette, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies.  Then I used the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set for the "Merry Christmas" sentiment.  The ink is Memento ~ Rhubarb Stalk.

In the lower center of the bouquet, I used the My Creative Time ~ Fancy Frame Stamp & Die SetIn the center of that, I stamped the cute little snowman from the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set and the "Snowmany Hugs" sentiment from the My Creative Time ~ Mixed Holiday SentimentsThe ink is Memento ~ Cottage Ivy and Rhubarb Stalk.  I colored in the cute little snowman with Prismacolor pencils.  To the left, the top, and the right of that piece, and all the way at the top under the calendar, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop Die and the starburst die from the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit.  In the center of each starburst, I stamped the cute little Mr. & Mrs. Claus outfits, as well as the Christmas tree and the snowman from the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set.  I colored in all the images with Prismacolor pencils.   And for a little extra sparkle, I used some Stardust ~ Stickles on the little Claus outfits.

I added in some Aspen Wood filler to hide the green floral foam cubes on the inside of the box.  The box I picked up in the holiday aisle at Michaels.  And the super cute snowman bow is made with Celebrate It ~ Holiday Noel ribbon.  Isn't it just the cutest?!?!

Well, that is my Grand Finale ~  my super cute Snowman Christmas Bouquet ~ just for all of you snowman lovers!  What do you think?  Do you think Emma would say  "ADORBS" ???  lol    I sure hope so.    ;)

My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas : Day 11

Hello everyone! Can you believe it's Day 11 of the My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas? If you arrived here from Emma's blog, then you are headed in the right direction. If not, then make sure you start there because you don't want to miss a thing! I think I'm officially getting sad that it's almost over. I can't believe these last 11 days have gone by so fast.   :(

Last week I showed you some fun gift tags for your larger presents (seen here).  Today, I have the smaller gifts tags that I promised to show you.  I just love these little tags!  They are the perfect size for your smaller presents, stocking stuffers or little goodies like these:

Here are the tags themselves:

For each tag, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies.  For the super cute images and sentiments, I used the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set.  I just absolutely LOVE that all of Emma's "All Around" stamp sets fit perfectly into the Stitched Circle Die!!

All of the red, blue and green cardstock are from the Coredinations ~ Vintage Collection.  The ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black.  And I used Prismacolor pencils to color in all the images.

Here are some close up shots:

For the Mr. & Mrs. Claus outfits, I also added some Stardust ~ Stickles for that extra sparkle.

For the back of the tags,  I used the "To" & "From" stamps from the My Creative Time ~ Classmate Valentines stamp set.

Just look how cute they are on your holiday goodies:

This is a bottle of wine wrapped up in one of those beautiful fabric bags.  (shhhh...I can't tell you where I got the beautiful bag, because I am "re-gifting" it LOL).  The bow is made with Celebrate It ~ Holiday Bow-tique ribbon.  In the center of the bow, I attached a Christmas wine glass charm (it's a little blue ornament) and the cute little snowman tag.

Here is what they look like as wine glass charms for your fun holiday parties.

And in this picture you can see just how perfect these little tags go on your smaller Christmas presents!

Now between these cute little tags and the tags I showed you last week . . . you should be all set.  Now get wrapping!!!  :)

My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas : Day 10

Happy Saturday everyone! It's Day 10 of the My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas. Only a few more days to go!! If you arrived here from Emma's blog, then you are headed in the right direction. If not, then make sure you start there because you don't want to miss a thing!

Today, I have another quick and easy holiday gift idea.  I think this is one of my favorites so far.

I just love how they turned out.  I think they are so pretty and they were very easy to make.  The containers are simple little pillow boxes.  Now, I know that there are a few different Cricut cartridges that have a pillow box cut on them.  But to save time, I used some pre-made pillow boxes that I picked up on sale at Michaels in the wedding favor section.

All of the patterned papers are from the Recollections ~ Bright & Jolly paper stack.  And all of the ribbons are Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations.

For all of the large flower shapes, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop Die.  For the smaller tags, I used a die in the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit.  For this box, I attached the tags with The Twinery ~ Maraschino Twine.

On the back of the little tags, I used the "To" & "From" stamps from the My Creative Time ~ Classmate Valentines stamp set.  The ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black.  To attach these tags, I used The Twinery ~ Caribbean Twine.

In case you can't tell in these pictures, I used some pop dots to elevate the center flower for dimension.  To attach the tags on this box, I used The Twinery ~ Peapod Twine.

Just a little FYI, these pillow boxes are the perfect size for gift cards, or perhaps even cold, hard cash.  LOL
