Happy Birthday to my BFF !!!

Hello everyone!  Guess what?  Today is my BFF's birthday!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND!  I hope you have a wonderfully special day . . . you deserve it!   :)

Here is the flower/gift card bouquet that I made for her:

All of the flower bases are made with Coredinations ~ Vintage Collection paper.  And they are cut with the My Creative Time ~ Scallop Die.

The inside of the flowers are cut with a die in the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit. The letters are stamped with the My Creative Time ~ Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set. The last flower in the top row is stamped with the My Creative Time ~ All Around Birthday stamp set.

In the middle of the bouquet, I made a calendar with the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die and the Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set. The beautiful bow is made with ribbon from my stash. All of the ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red. There are 3 gift cards in there too: Starbucks, Ulta and Michaels.

Doesn't it look so bright and cheerful?  I just love how it turned out.  I hope you like it my friend . . . HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU !!!!!!!

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone!  It's time for another challenge entry.  Today, it's the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Sketch Challenge #65 - with a Twist.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Create a card or layout and use paper piecing in your project.  Project must include basic elements and layout from the sketch (feel free to flip anything).  Peachy Keen Stamps are not required for this challenge, but if you've got them, we looooove seeing how you create with them!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my entry:

The patterned paper is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Winter Magic paper stack.  The two circles are cut from the stock images on the Cricut ~ Imagine.  For the white circle, I used the Swiss Dots ~ Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The beautiful blue shape inside the white circle is cut with the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die.  My super cute little snowman is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Faceless Christmas Heads stamp set. His adorable little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.  And I colored him in with Prismacolor pencils and added a little chalk for his cheeks.  All the ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black.

Now, for the paper piecing twist:  I cut out the hat and the band separately.  For the hat, I colored it in with a black ~ Prismacolor pencil and used Odorless Mineral Spirits for the blending.  I popped the hat up off the snowman with some little pop dots for extra dimension.  For the band, I actually colored it in with a blue ~ Prismacolor pencil and then added Stardust ~ Stickles for the sparkle.  You can't really tell that it's blue in this picture, but it is  ;)  If you have never tried paper piecing, give it a go!  I have always liked the layering look . . . it's a great way to get some extra dimension.

This fun shape and border was made with the My Creative Time ~ Fancy Frame Stamp and Die set.  The sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set.  I added two little Queen & Co. ~ Brilliant Blue Pearls.  And I used the Swiss Dots ~ Cuttlebug embossing folder on the black strip.

Well my creative friends, that's it for today.  See you again soon!

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ "Let's Face It Friday" Challenge

Hello everyone!  Today, I have another challenge entry.  Its the Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Let's Face It Friday : Holiday Recipe Challenge.  The guidelines for this challenge:  We want you to create a card or layout holding your favorite holiday recipe.  Don't forget to Peachify your creation!  Project must be new and must include Peachy Keen Faces.

Here is my entry (I think it turned out soooo cute!) . . .

Ok, I have to say right up front that I did not make that pumpkin bread in the photo.  :(  Anyone who knows me, knows that I did not get the cooking gene LOL.  It is however a picture of one of my favorite recipes that my mother makes.  Pumpkin bread . . . mmmmmmm goood !!!

The background patterned paper is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Harvest Gathering paper stack.  The little pumpkin and flower centerpiece are also from that paper stack . . . I actually hand cut it out to use as an embellishment.

For the center of the card, I used the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die to cut out a beautifully shaped opening.  On the outside edges of the card, I tied up some raffia with ribbon from my stash to look like corn stalks.  Then for the stars of the card ~ may I introduce the brand new Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Scarecrow Boy & Scarecrow Girl:

Aren't they just the cutest things ever?!?!?!  I don't have the brand new little dies that go with them yet, so I hand cut them out.  And then I colored them both in with Prismacolor pencils.  I used pop dots behind them to give everything some dimension.

On the inside of the card, I used the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die and the Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set for the border.  The sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Gift Card Sentiments stamp set.  The ink is Memento ~ Rich Cocoa.  I used a Marvy Uchida ~ circle punch to cut out the picture of the pumpkin bread.

Doesn't it look yummy enough to eat???  Now if I did cook/bake, I think this card would go perfectly with this little treat as a present for a neighbor or co-worker.  But since I don't cook/bake, I'm just gonna keep this little cutie on my shelf in my craftroom . . . I just LOVE it !!!  ;)

I have to say that I think this is one of my most favorite creations!!!  Unfortunately though, the cuteness of it has sparked my addiction to want to buy all the other new PKS matching little stamps/dies sets.  Oh dear . . . I can hear my checkbook screaming now.  LOL

Well that's all folks.  I will see you back here soon.  I have another PKS challenge entry to show you.  Until then . . . HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

Cricut Circle Blog ~ Weekly Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  Wasn't last week so much fun???  I hope you were all able to place your orders, or at least add some My Creative Time goodies to your Christmas Wish List  ;)

Today, I have my entry for the Cricut Circle Blog ~ Weekly Challenge #45 : Run for the Border.  The guidelines for this challenge:  Borders can be simple & sweet, elegantly detailed, masculine or playful . . . and they can be that perfect final touch to add to your project.  We want you to make a run for the border . . . the Cricut border that is.  Create a project of your choice and include a Cricut border cut somewhere on your project.  Be sure to include at least 2 total Cricut cuts on your project.

Here is my entry:

This was a super quick & easy card to make.  The patterned paper for the card base is from the Recollections ~ Sugar Plums paper pad.  The background patterned paper is from the Recollections ~ Bright & Jolly paper pad

The patterned paper for the Christmas Tree is from the Die Cuts With A View ~ Christmas mat stack.  And the Christmas Tree is cut from the Ribbons & Rosettes ~ Cricut cartridge

The patterned paper for the bottom border is from the Recollections ~ Sugar Plums paper pad.  And the bottom border is cut from the Martha Stewart : Seasonal Cake Art ~ Cricut cartridge.

The sentiment is from the My Creative Time ~ Gift Card Sentiments stamp set.  And it is stamped on a piece cut with the My Creative Time ~ Stitched Oval Die.  The ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black.

For a little extra something on the tree, I added some very light green pearls from Queen & Co.  I also added various sizes of white ~ Recollections pearls to all the snowflakes on the background paper and to the centers of all the red bows.  The yellow polka dot ribbon is from my stash.

Well, that's it for today.  Make sure you come back tomorrow.  I will be announcing the winner of my Karate layout giveaway seen here.  Also, the one you've all been waiting for . . . I will be announcing the winner from Friday's ~ My Creative Time Blog Hop . . . and that lucky ducky will be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing for the E2 that Emma is giving away on Wednesday.  You don't want to miss it . . . so I will see you here tomorrow!   ;)

Have a great day everyone . . . it's a short week . . . YIPPEE!!!

My Creative Time - November Release - Blog Hop

Happy Friday everyone!  Sneak Peek Week has been so much fun and now it's time for the best part...the BLOG HOP!!!  If you came here from Emma's blog at My Creative Time then you are in the right place.  If not, then make sure you head back over there to start at the beginning...you don't want to miss her awesome video.  Otherwise, grab a warm cup of coffee, find a comfy place to sit and prepare to be inspired...the Design Team has some amazing and fun projects to show you.

Let's get readyyyyyyy to rumblllllllllle . . . I mean BLOOOOG HOOOOOOPPPPP!!!  lol ;)   Today, I am showcasing the 100% Sweetness stamp set  and I couldn't help but also include the Stitched Lollipop Holder Die and the Classmate Valentines stamp set.   They just all go together so perfectly!!!

For their encore performance (heehee), may I introduce once again ~ the Stitched Lollipop Holder Die, the 100% Sweetness stamp set and the Classmate Valentines stamp set.  Along with best supporting actors ~ the Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies.

Ok...I just have to say again that these are my favorite of the whole release this month!  There are a million ways to use these, but I wanted to make sure I showed you the 'traditional' way today.  Aren't they just the cutest ever?!?!  Your Valentines this year are going to be the absolute easiest and cutest ever!!

All of the paper for these cuties comes from the SEI ~ With All My Heart paper pad.  And all of them are made with the new Stitched Lollipop Holder Die.  Here are some close up shots:

For the topper on this one, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies.   In case you didn't know...those dies fit perfectly on the Lollipop Holder!!  But of course we should know that, because Emma is AWESOME!!  ;)   The two cute stamps are from the new My Creative Time ~ Classmate Valentines stamp set.  I used Memento ~ Rich Cocoa for the sentiment part and Ladybug Red for the sucker.  If you look closely, I also colored in the sucker with a glittery/silver color from a Clear Star ~ Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

This one is super simple...all I did was add the ribbon...which is Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations.  When I say quick and easy...I really mean it!!!

Another simple one, but I don't know who this ribbon is from, I just pulled it out of my stash.

Simple one #3...just added the ribbon which is Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations.

This is my favorite ribbon!  Unfortunately though, it too is from my stash, so I don't know who makes it...sorry  :(

Here's a group shot of the ones with suckers.  They just slip in there real easily.  You don't even need glue, because there are little holes in the back and in the front that you just thread the ribbon through.  I know!!!  I know!!!  I'm tellin' ya......EASY PEASY.....as Emma would say   ;)

For these two, instead of suckers ~ I used little baggies of Hershey's kisses.  And for the toppers, I once again used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies.  The two sentiments are from the new My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  For the one on the right, I added a little circle of rhinestones from Recollections.  The ink is Memento ~ Rich Cocoa and Ladybug Red.

These two also have Hershey's kisses instead of lollipops.  And both have the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies for the toppers.  For the one on the left, the sentiment is from the new  My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  The heart is from the My Creative Time ~ Anyday Bingo & Crossword.  The ink is Memento ~ Ladybug Red.  I also added Xmas Red ~ Stickles to the heart for a little extra sparkle.

For the one on the right, the sentiment is from the new My Creative Time ~ Classmate Valentines stamp set.  I actually taped off the word 'teacher' at the bottom and instead stamped a little chocolate kiss.  The ink is Memento ~ Rich Cocoa.  And I added Cinnamon ~ Stickles to the kiss for more sparkle.

Here they are as a group once again for their final bow LOL  I just still can't get over how super easy these are to make and how absolutely cute they turned out to be.  You could totally use these for every single holiday, not to mention birthday parties, bridal showers and wedding showers.  Holy Cow...the possibilities are endless!!!!

My Creative Time - Sneak Peek Day 4 - November Release

Hello everyone!  It's the fourth and final day of the My Creative Time ~ Sneak Peek Week...the big reveal is tomorrow!!!   Just wait until you see all the new products...they are all soooo great!!!  Today, Emma & the  My Creative Time Design Team are showcasing two new stamps sets and two new dies:  100% SweetnessClassmate Valentines and the Stitched Lollipop Holder Die.  (Pssst....and I just have to say...they are my favorite of all the new releases this week!)

So sit back, relax and enjoy ~ it's gonna be a long post LOL :) ~ I have 3 projects to show you:

Project #1:

Yesterday was my anniversary with my husband.  We have been together for 14 years and married for 9!  (YAY!).   This is the card I made for him.  And I just have to start by saying...there are sooo  many things I love about this card...I don't even know where to begin!

All of the ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red.  For the beautiful calendar, I used the My Creative Time ~ Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set and the XL Label Die.  The "Happy Anniversary" at the top and the dashed lines at the top and bottom of the card are from the My Creative Time ~ Gift Card Sentiments stamp set.

In the bottom right corner of the calendar, I stamped a little "I Love You" which is from the My Creative Time ~ Mom You Rock stamp set.  In the bottom right corner of the card is a heart from the My Creative Time ~ Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set and the "Be Mine" sentiment which is from the awesome new My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  ("Be Mine" is a sweet little phrase my husband always says to me.  I just LOVE that it's a stamp in this new set!  And he is gonna love that I included it on this card!)

But...my most favorite part of this new 100% Sweetness stamp set is that it comes with a Heart die included! Emma is giving the Stitched Heart Die away for FREE this month in celebration of her 1 yr anniversary of her product line!   And the "love" that fills the heart is one of the stamps in the set!!!! Isn't it just beautiful?!?  My absolute favorite things about Emma's products are how much thought she puts into her designs and how well all the products mix together!!  Thanks Emma!!!

Project #2:

What's better than a whole lotta LOVE and all the colors of the rainbow???  This awesome LOVE stamp is also from the new My Creative Time ~ 100% Sweetness stamp set.  The paper for the scallop shapes is my favorite Doodlebug Design ~ Petite Prints and they are cut with the My Creative Time ~ Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies.  The small white stitched circle is from the My Creative Time ~ Build A Banner Kit and the heart stamped in the center is from the My Creative Time ~ Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set.  Along the top and bottom border is a sweet little "love you" stamp from the My Creative Time ~ This and That stamp set.

Here are some close up shots:

For the black background, I used the Cuttlebug ~ Polka Dots embossing folder to give it some dimension.  I also used pop dots behind each LOVE flower.   All the ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black.

Project #3:

Drumroll please......May I introduce the My Creative Time ~ Stitched Lollipop Holder Die!!!!  Isn't it fabulous?!?   Now, you may notice that for this project,  I did something a little different.  Instead of using it for lollipops, I used it to make place cards for Thanksgiving to go with my awesome turkey centerpiece that I posted last week (seen here).

Aren't they sooo cute??  I think after the Gift Card Holder Die...this is gonna be my new favorite!!!   My brain is just swimming with all kinds of ideas on what it can be used for.

For these little place cards, the patterned paper is from the Die Cuts With a View ~ Harvest Gathering paper stack.  The solid color cardstock is Bazzill.

Here are some close up shots:

All of the ribbon is Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations.  In the center is a Recollections ~ pearl.  And all the names I printed from my computer.  I may put a little chocolate mint inside, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

Aren't they soooo cute??  I just love them!  You won't believe how easy it is to use this die!  It makes treat giving so super simple.  It's definitely a must have.  But then again....I think that's true of all of Emma's product line  ;)

My Creative Time - Sneak Peek Day 3 - November Release

Hello everyone!  It's time for the My Creative Time ~ Sneak Peek Week ~ Day 3.  Don't you just love sneak peek week???  It's the best time of the whole month :)  And we are only half way there!  Today, the My Creative Time Design Team is showcasing two super fun stamp sets:  Keepin' It Classy and Classy & Fabulous.

BTW...want a fun little piece of information?  Emma's brother Mark actually designed all of the images in the Keepin' It Classy stamp set!  Wait until you see them all...he did an amazing job!

Today, I made two different cards so that you can see how versatile and fun these sets can be.  Here is my first card:

All of the cardstock is Recollections.  The background scallop base is cut with the Elegant Edges ~ Cricut cartridge.  The sassy little lady and both of her handbags are from the new My Creative Time ~ Keepin' It Classy stamp set.  The ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black.

Both of the sentiments are from the new My Creative Time ~ Classy & Fabulous stamp set.  In case they are too hard to see in my pictures, the first sentiment says "Who says money can't buy happiness?"  And the second one says "They don't know which craft store to go to!"  In the sentiment at the bottom, I added some red with a Prismacolor pencil to highlight the words "craft store".

The hearts in the four corners are from the My Creative Time ~ Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set and they are stamped with Memento ~ Ladybug Red ink.  The awesome ribbon is Offray from Walmart.

And here is card #2:

All of the cardstock is from Recollections.  The background scallop base is cut from the Elegant Edges ~ Cricut cartridge.  The fun espresso cup is cut from the Love You A Latte ~ Cricut cartridge.  (Thanks to my pal Linda in Illinois for getting me that cartridge since I couldn't find it in Arizona!)

I added a mixture of Cinnamon and Frosted Lace ~ Stickles to give the espresso some sprinkles.  The fun sentiment is from the new My Creative Time ~ Classy & Fabulous stamp set.  It is stamped with Memento ~ Rich Cocoa ink.  And it says: "Just wanted to espresso my thanks!"  Love it!  The ribbon is Dashes, Dots & Checks.

That's it.  Two great new stamp sets.  And two different looks to show their versatility.  Are you just loving this release?!?!?!?
