Good morning everyone! Holy cow . . . it's already Day 9 of the My Creative Time ~ 12 Days of Christmas! Where has the time gone?!?! If you arrived here from Emma's blog, then you are headed in the right direction. If not, then make sure you start there because you don't want to miss a thing!
Today I have another holiday gift packaging idea that is fun and easy to make:
The bags are just simple kraft colored bags that I picked up for .59 cents at Michaels. I decorated each one to match the stamp I used.
For this first bag, I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies. The red paper is from the Coredinations ~ Vintage Collection. I cut 6 pieces and then stacked them in a triangle to look like a tree. I added a simple brown square for the tree base and a yellow ribbon from my stash for the tree topper.
For the images, I used the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set. The ink is Memento ~ Tuxedo Black. I colored in the Christmas trees with Prismacolor pencils. And I finished it off by adding green tissue inside the bag and Celebrate It ~ Sheer Creations ribbon for the bow.
For this bag, I cut the scalloped rectangle shape from the Elegant Edges ~ Cricut cartridge, the circles are cut from the George and Basic Shapes ~ Cricut cartridge, and the top hat is cut from the A Child's Year ~ Cricut cartridge. The blue paper is from the Coredinations ~ Vintage Collection.
To make the snowman, I used the little snowman stamp from the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set to stamp the smallest snowman in the top circle. Then I used the large snowman from the My Creative Time ~ All Around Accessories stamp set to stamp the snowman in the largest circle at the bottom. For the medium snowman in the middle, I actually took the small snowman and copied and enlarged it on my photocopier/scanner. Then I colored in all 3 snowmen with Prismacolor pencils. To finish it off, I added white tissue inside the bag and Celebrate It ~ Holiday Bow-tique ribbon for the bow.
For this last bag, I tried to make it look like Santa's belt. LOL. It didn't turn out very good, but I thought I would show it anyway. The black paper is from the Coredinations ~ Vintage Collection.
I used the My Creative Time ~ XL Label Die to cut the center piece for the "buckle." Then I used the My Creative Time ~ All Around Accessories stamp set to stamp the large Santa jacket. On each side of the "buckle," I used the My Creative Time ~ Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies and the My Creative Time ~ All Around Christmas stamp set to stamp the little Santa jackets. I colored them all in with Prismacolor pencils and added some Stardust ~ Stickles for a little extra sparkle. To finish it off, I added red tissue inside the bag and the cutest Santa belt ribbon which is Celebrate It ~ Holiday Noel.
That's my project for today, quick and easy holiday gift bags. Hope you like them :)
