Hello Kitty cuteness

For today I thought I would just post something simple, cute and cheerful.

These are from the Hello Kitty cartridge.  The only extras are a little pen stitching and a couple of gems in the flowers.  They are pretty big though ~ I gave them to my cousin's daughter to decorate her bedroom wall.  I used a 12x12 mat and the fit to page button on the Expression.

Hope they make you smile!

Cricut Circle Blog ~ Monthly Challenge

Phew!  I am finally done with this project.  Ever have one of those days where you keep running out of everything while you are working on a project.....grrr!  LOL  Well anyway, here it banner for the Cricut Circle Blog Monthly Challenge - I'm also going to use it to decorate my table at the Dallas Stampede!

The brown and rust banner backgrounds are cut from the Martha Stewart - All Occasions Cake Art cartridge, as is the large off white doily shape.

The next layer is an accordian flower (or at least that's what I'm calling it LOL).  It's a hot new technique that I have been seeing everywhere.  And thanks to the gals on the Cricut Circle Message Board....I think they turned out great.  (It's incredibly simple...try it out!)

Next, I spelled out my name with the cute Cricut heads font from the Cricut Everyday cartridge.  I backed the Cricut heads with a simple brown circle from the George cartridge.  And then to make the letters pop....I cut them out again with brown glitter paper from Michaels (to do this...I used the hide contour feature on my gypsy to remove the cricut head and only cut out the letters).  I added a little white stiching around the cricut heads, as well as a couple of gems to the antennas.

At the top of the banner, I added three Cricuts - also cut from the Cricut Everyday cartridge.  To make them even cuter, I added googlie eyes and cowboy hats cut from the same glitter paper as the letters.  Too cute!!!

And as a final touch, at the bottom of the banner, I added some suns and cacti.  The suns are from the Life is a Beach cartridge and they are Stickled of course for extra sparkle.  The cacti are from the Old West cartridge and they are highlighted with a little bit of chalk.

Oh....and I used real rope to string all the banner tiles cool is that?!

I sure hope the pictures are good enough, because it's SUPER CUTE in person (if I do say so myself ~ LOL).

Have a great weekend y'all!

Yee Haw ~ It's a Stampede !

The Cricut - Texas Stampede that is!  It's now only 3 weeks away....are you ready?  It's going to be a if you are not signed up already...better hurry.

Here is a picture of a 12x12 layout that I originally made to decorate my hotel door at the Utah Swarm, but this time I am going to use it to decorate my table in Dallas.  (It's actually a jumbo version of my Cricut Circle Calling Card).

The Arizona title and the background cut of the state of Arizona are from the 50 States Cricut cartridge.  The sun is from the Life is a Beach Cricut cartridge (notice I hid the face on the sun with the hide contour feature on my Gypsy).  The cactus, the rock and the snake are from the Old West Cricut cartridge.  I added a couple of googlie eyes on the snake, as well as a couple of flowers with a simple brad in the middle on the cactus and I did a little highlighting with chalk on all three.  And of course for a little shimmer, I added some stickles to the sun (yellow, organge & bronze mixed).

Stay tuned for my next post where I will show you the cool banner I made to decorate my table in Dallas.  It's also gonna be my entry for the Cricut Circle Blog Monthly Challenge. Fun Fun Fun!!!

See you soon.

ha"bee" Birthday!

Hello again everyone!  Today I have a fun little birthday card to share with you.

The cute little bee is from the Create A Critter - Cricut cartridge.  The white cardstock behind the bee is embossed with the Cuttlebug - Divine Swirls folder.  The patterned paper is from SEI's - Granny's Kitchen.  The stamped sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  The flower is from my stash.  And the heart brad in the center of the flower is from Making Memories.  Oh...and the cute little bee's face is of course stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps - Critter Faces set.

In order to make the bee stand out better, I did a little stitching around the bee with both a black and a white pen.  It may seem tedious, but the little details make all the difference.  I learned this from both Nikki at Scrappin' Navy Wife and Emma at My Creative Time.  They do tons of stitching and I think it finishes off each project very nicely....just gives it that extra little something.

Well, that's it for today.  See you next time.

Thank You

Good morning eveyone.  Today I am sharing my most favorite card I have made so far.  It's a simple Thank You card and I hope the picture does it justice, because it's just beautiful in person.  Even my husband said it was his favorite too---Wahoo!

The flourish is from the Cake Basics cartridge.  The stamped sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  The beautiful butterflies are from Basic Grey's - Ambrosia paper line.  I actually hand cut each of those little beauties ~ that was the only hard part of this card.  And if you look closely, the butterflies have a little bling ~ compliments of my I-Rock and Imaginisce.

A couple of tips for this one - to make the butterflies pop....I bent their wings upright and only glued down their bodies.  And, to show the motion of a couple of the butterflies....I used a simple black pen to show their flight path.

Have a great day....see you next time!

Congratulations on Your Engagement!

Hello everyone.  Here is a quick card I made for a friend of mine who recently became engaged.

The image is from the Sweethearts cartridge.  The stamped sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  The ribbon is from Michaels.  If you look closely, the backgroud is Cuttlebugged with hearts.  And if you look super super closely....I stickled the diamond ring (I don't think that shows up very good in this picture).  It's a really quick and simple card and it looks much better in person ~ I'm still trying to figure out how to take better pictures for my blog  :)  Thanks for stopping by....see you next time.

Throwback Thursday Challenge!

Hello again everyone.  Here is my entry for this week's Throwback Thursday Challenge.  If you have never heard of this challenge before ~ checkout Emma's blog My Creative Time.  Every week Emma picks one of the older Cricut cartridges and adds a twist or two to get our creative juices flowing.  This week's cartridge was Walk In My Garden and the twist was to make any project of your choice using flowers.  (And just in case you don't have the suggested cartridge of the week ~ she does allow you to use any cart. you do have so that everyone can participate).  And as an added bonus...there is blog candy for the winner.  Go check it out!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't have the Walk In My Garden cartridge...but not to worry...I pulled out the Cricut Lite cartridge Bloom.  The beautiful butterfly paper is from SEI's Chocolat.  The ribbon is from Paper Trey Ink.  And the stamped sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

See you next time...

Nuts About You!

Hello Everyone.  I thought I would stay with the "Love" theme since it's Valentine's week.

This was one of the very first cards I made for my hubby when I got the Create A Critter cartridge.  Isn't that cartridge the best!?!  It's a quick and simple card...not much pen work or bling, but of course I had to add the googlie just can't beat a good pair of googlie eyes.  LOL  Hope you enjoy it.   See you next time...

Valentine's Treat Bags

Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day!  Many of you may have already seen this, but here is a pic of the little treat bags I made for everyone at the Cricut Circle Meetup in LA a few weeks ago.  I made 80 of these little cuties - once you get the assembly line's not that bad LOL.

If it looks familar...that's because I took some of the left over parts from these treat bags to make the Valentine for my hubby that I showed you yesterday.  Well, that's it for now....I hope everyone gets a little LOVE today.  Until next time...
